I view each project, no matter the breadth and depth of scope as an individual project. As such I estimate and price each project accordingly. If you are primarily price shopping, then I am not the photographer and Black Sun is not the studio for you. However, if you want:
- yourself and project understood so that it can best be conveyed into photographic artwork and
- you want us to exceed your expectations
...then we are a perfect fit for you. We strive to take the worry out of a job for our clients and delivery exceptional photographs and digital files, not to mention service second to none.
Whether you are a seasoned art director, commercial art buyer or setting up your first professional shoot there are elements that factor into the cost of photography. Some are most likely standard to every shoot while other costs may be additional. Here are a few that we consider.

need BIG files a.s.a.p.?... ...then FTP: [File Transfer Protocol] is one solution.
michael black | BLACK SUN studio has long provided FTP services to our clients [either stateside or international] on our secure server 24/7.
You will need the following:
- access to ftp software (there are numerous types and some are either free or relatively cheap)
- although you don't "need" a high speed connection larger files up/down loading can take excessive amounts of time on a slow speed connection
- the ability to place these files on a drive (in other words do not download to a handheld or public device that you will not be able to retrieve the files from later)
- Launch ftp software of your choice and establish a upload/download/manual listing
- Here is the info to get into the server: enter this information and continue press the enter or continue type key in your software:
Server: <provided to client upon request>
Username: <provided to client upon request>
Password: <provided to client along with username> - You will now be connected and will see the a folder which will be like all other folders on your desktop
- Go ahead and drag and drop file/s in or out of that folder
- Should you have any questions email or call the studio.

We are a small team of highly talented design and creative professionals who love to work hard and long days. Occasionally, we must add a new member or replace someone who moves on to other opportunities. Due to the nature of our work and close relationships with our clients, we are unable to hire seasonal employees. However, we do offer assistantship positions, which may carry college credits.
